BRECKSVILLE, Ohio — A shooting outside a business on Snowville Road in Brecksville left two people injured Friday morning.
Officials told 3News the incident occurred at around 7:25 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found one victim in the parking lot outside UniUni. A second victim had already made their way to a hospital independently with a gunshot wound.
Brecksville Police Chief Stanton Korinek says an argument allegedly erupted between a security guard and a delivery driver. The dispute escalated, eventually leading to an exchange of gunfire.
Investigators confirm that all firearms involved have been recovered. Police say the scene remains active but poses no threat to the public.
Ohio BCI spokesperson Steve Irwin told 3News that his agency was called in to assist both the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department and the Brecksville Police Department.
UniUni released the following statement to 3News:
“We are aware of an incident that occurred on Friday, April 24 involving a third-party security firm personnel and a driver of a third-party delivery service partner (DSP). The matter is currently under active investigation by local authorities, and we are cooperating fully.
“We are concerned for those involved and safety remains a top priority.
“Because this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide additional details at this time.”
