Police arrested two individuals Thursday night and charged them with inciting a riot after officers tried to disperse a gathering in Lockland, according to the police chief.
Authorities charged Tremell Jones and Quinton Thomas with inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest following an incident around 9:30 p.m. in the 600 block of W. Wyoming Avenue.
According to the Village of Lockland, officers encountered a large group playing loud music and blocking sidewalks. Officers warned them about the noise and instructed them to end the party.
Police said the group refused to comply, and two men grew aggressive, trying to encourage others to ignore police orders.
When Lockland officers attempted to arrest the two men, they resisted, prompting police to use less-lethal Pepperball rounds to subdue them.
Authorities transported Jones and Thomas to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
