Police apprehended a 15-year-old boy after he allegedly struck his 1-year-old brother in the head at a house in Northeast Baltimore.
Before 11 a.m., officers rushed to a home in the 900 block of Homestead for an assault report.
Police said that when they arrived on the scene, they discovered that the 1-year-old baby boy had been smacked in the head by a sibling.
The baby was sent to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police claimed the 15-year-old fled the scene after the assault, but officers subsequently apprehended him after conducting a search of the neighborhood.
The investigation is underway.
