Suspect Apprehended Day After Deadly Houston Hit-and-Run on Kuykendahl Road

A driver has been arrested in connection with a tragic auto-pedestrian collision in north Houston over the weekend, authorities said.

According to Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s office, deputies went to a reported auto-pedestrian accident on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the 12700 block of Kuykendahl Road in the Greater Greenspoint region.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a pedestrian with critical injuries. The person was sent to a local hospital but later died. Authorities have yet to reveal the victim’s identity.

According to investigators, the motorist fled the scene. Using security footage and witness descriptions, deputies identified the suspect as 31-year-old Jasmin Obregon.

The next day, deputies located Obregon and arrested her without incident. On Sunday, April 26th, she was booked into Harris County Jail on a charge of failing to stop and render aid.

According to jail records, the 488th District Court placed her bond at $85,000.

The investigation is underway.
