A 64-year-old man suspected of dealing drugs and allegedly violating a restraining order was taken into custody last week in East San Diego County, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Deputies from the Rancho San Diego station approached the suspect, later identified as Bradley White, who was sitting in a car on Friday morning in the 900 block of Gillespie Drive in Spring Valley, according to sheriff’s authorities. They stated that White had an ongoing arrest warrant.
During a vehicle search, deputies allegedly discovered 138 grams of methamphetamine packed in several bags, a digital scale, hundreds of empty baggies, $873 in cash, $7,035 in money orders, a replica weapon, and two rounds of ammunition.
other things discovered were suspected to have been stolen, including a huge bag of collecting coins, a large quantity of collector comic books, two boxes packed with designer watches, and other boxes containing silverware and jewelry, according to the sheriff’s office.
White was detained on a pre-existing arrest warrant, suspicion of a controlled substance for sale, and felon in possession of ammunition. He was booked into the San Diego Central Jail and is now being held on a $105,000 bail.
White has prior convictions and is legally forbidden from carrying firearms or ammunition, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities advised anyone who believes the potentially stolen items belong to them to contact the sheriff’s department at 619-660-7090.
