A fugitive wanted in Tennessee and Mississippi for avoiding law enforcement was apprehended by the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.
Gerald Craddock, according to Sheriff Shannon Beasley, has been wanted since mid-April for violating a probation/parole warrant for felony evasion.
According to deputies, Craddock has a history of risky vehicle pursuits while fleeing law enforcement.
investigators claimed Craddock was hiding in the Memphis area and was involved in another pursuit when he fled from investigators in Shelby County in late April.
After the pursuit, Shelby County law enforcement obtained arrest warrants for Craddock.
Deputies asked the US Marshals for help because of Craddock’s “violent nature.”
Craddock ran from authorities again on May 6, this time into Desoto County, Mississippi, where he wrecked his truck and fled.
On Tuesday night, U.S. Marshals and Tipton County SWAT teams surrounded a home on Obie Brown Road and apprehended Craddock.
According to authorities, he is being held in the Tipton County jail without bond and will be released to Shelby and Desoto counties to face charges in those jurisdictions.
