Pomeroy man arrested in Mason, WV on fleeing and theft charges
MASON, WV – A Pomeroy man has been taken into custody following a fleeing attempt according to the Mason City Police Department.
In a statement released from the Mason PD, on May 17, 2019 Chief C. McKinney and Patrolman A. Toler was called to Mason Walmart for an alleged male fleeing from the store with a large amount of items. Once on scene both officers were involved in a foot pursuit with the male which was later identified as Christopher Allen Conley of Pomeroy, Ohio.
Conley was apprehended shortly after. He has been charged with felony grand larceny and several misdemeanor charges pending from the case in question and other incidents prior to this date. Conley was arraigned in the Mason County Magistrate and bond was set at $50,000. Conley is currently being held at the Western Regional Jail awaiting further hearing. The alleged amount of loss was $4,853.97.
