CINCINNATI — A Madisonville restaurant has suddenly shut down. Customers who had upcoming reservations at Alara received notices Monday informing them that the restaurant had closed, effective immediately.
The notice, posted on the app OpenTable, reads in part, “We regret to inform you that Alara Restaurant has closed effective immediately. This was a difficult decision, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.”
The message further directs guests to a nearby restaurant to honor existing reservations. Alara opened in 2024 in Madisonville’s Madison Square.
The restaurant focused on prime meats and seafood, offering fine dining options such as lobster, Wagyu beef, and king salmon. As recently as Saturday, Alara was still active on social media promoting its business.
