On Friday night, at 10 p.m., city cops and EMS responded to a report of a woman with major bleeding and ended up looking for a person of interest in an alleged assault. The victim was found in an apartment on Delafield Street, with lacerations on her legs and other parts of her body.
The woman was triaged on the spot and transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.
Police investigated the scene and issued a “BOLO” (Be on the Lookout) to city police and law enforcement in the surrounding areas for a vehicle thought to be carrying the potential assailant.
Before 10:45 p.m., the BOLO instructed officers to contact city police if they saw a tan or gold Nissan Rogue with Ohio licence plates fleeing the Delafield Street crime scene in an unknown direction. The person of interest was described as a light-skinned Hispanic male in his twenties dressed in a black shirt and shorts with “funny-looking sneakers”.
