The New York Lottery has seen another resident win a seven-figure prize, with the lottery player in Jackson Heights scoring a $1,000,000 prize.

The winner, Enrique Cabrera, claimed the prize from the aptly named $1,000,000 Bonus Cashword scratch-off game and has elected to accept the $395,974 lump amount after all standard withholdings are applied.
The ticket was sold at I & Y News & Candy, located at 7413 Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights. The winner comes from Queens himself.
Over the last few months, New York has seen a surge in lottery wins, with several seven-figure winners.
In mid-July, for example, a lucky player from Brooklyn won the mouth-watering $3 million jackpot on a New York Lottery scratch-off ticket.
The winner later went to the lottery headquarters to receive her rewards, choosing for the one-time lump sum payment.
In another case, a New York County resident won the grand prize in the $3 Million MAX game.
The ticket, purchased in Fulton County, earned the game’s top prize, and the winner, Daniel Nellis of Caroga Lake, will receive a lump sum payment of $1,328,043 after all applicable taxes.
