Woman apprehended at South Euclid Walmart believed to be involved in multi-state theft ring

A 20-year-old Cleveland woman was arrested for theft at Walmart on August 2 after attempting to pick up a video game console for delivery with a counterfeit Walmart app.

She had committed a similar act at the store earlier this month. Walmart had put an internal alert for her.

The woman, who attempted to take other items while there, acknowledged to the crime and stated that she intended to sell the console to someone in Michigan.

Walmart loss prevention believes she is one of several people responsible for more than $30,000 in thefts from Walmart locations in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.
