International Manhunt Underway For Matthew Flores After 2 Bodies Discovered In Arizona Backyard

An international manhunt is underway for Matthew Flores after two bodies were discovered in the backyard of an Arizona home.

“All I can say,” Avondale Police Officer Daniel Benavidez stated in a press conference, “is that he fled the country.”

The case began on August 4, when the 27-year-old’s family requested a welfare check for him and his parents. There was no one inside the home, but there were signs of foul play, including a considerable amount of blood and evidence of an attempt to conceal it, according to a police press conference.

That’s when authorities identified Flores as a suspect in his parents’ disappearance.

Benavidez also provided a devastating update, telling reporters, “We have located unidentified human remains in the backyard of this residence.”

The bodies were “in a state of decomposition,” he told AZ Family. “I can’t tell you how many hours or days, but what I can say, is that the bodies are in a state of decomposition.”

The names of the victims are not being released by police due to the family’s desire, but neighbors have expressed warm memories of them.Alec Rogers told Fox 10 that he sees his father occasionally. “He’s very, very friendly, but we don’t talk too much, just whenever we see him, we say hello.”

Rogers stated he heard a ruckus on the day the family was reported missing, stating, “There was a little bit of yelling and I don’t know who it was from.”

Another neighbor told AZ Family that she overheard someone yell, “Please stop!”

“I was on the other side of the sidewalk, and I definitely heard it come from that direction,” she replied. “But I was like, ‘OK, we live by a middle school, it might be nothing,’ so I didn’t think more of it.”
