Two people were taken to the hospital with critical injuries following a small plane crash in Clark County on Monday afternoon.
According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a light plane collision around 1 p.m. east of Ridgefield near Daybreak Airport.
Emergency responders discovered the plane overturned near the river.
Two persons were aboard the plane at the time of the disaster, and both were critically injured.
According to Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue, one individual managed to get out of the plane and was discovered sitting on the wing. Crews had to hack away sections of the plane to get the second guy out.
One of the crash victims was flown to the hospital by Life Flight, while the other was transported by ambulance.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
