7 arrested after police raid Memphis nightclub, MPD says

The Memphis Police Department (MPD) reported that seven people were arrested following a raid on Legends Lounge in Hickory Hill on Saturday.

During the investigation at 6232 Knight Arnold Road, investigators discovered illegal substances, guns, drug paraphernalia, and a considerable amount of cash, according to MPD.

According to police, many incidents at the property prompted authorities to issue a nuisance warning notice.

Over a two-year span, MPD claimed the area had 191 calls for service and 47 reports, including aggravated assaults with guns, car thefts, and thefts from vehicles.

According to police, the firm was also running at more than three times its allowed capacity limit. The nightclub had a capacity of 99 people, but officials discovered more than 300 guests inside.

Authorities arrested the following:

Nickolas Armstrong-Green, the lounge’s co-owner, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Darius Clark Franklin, an armed security guard, was charged with failure to possess a security guard registration card.
Imad Deumah, an armed security guard, was charged with failure to possess a security guard registration card.
Kyra Bush, a waitress, was arrested on an active warrant for failure to appear in a misdemeanor case out of Bartlett.
Jerrod Cox was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell, evading arrest, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Percocet with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell.
Wiley Harper was charged with disorderly conduct, inciting to riot, and criminal trespass.
Jarvis Moye Jr. was arrested on an active warrant for theft of property $1,000 or less.

The operation was carried out by the Memphis Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit, the Memphis Safe Task Force, the Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC).

Police claimed TABC discovered alcohol being sold without the needed state license and seized it. The TABC also issued Armstrong-Green a misdemeanor ticket for illegally selling alcoholic beverages.
