A 46-year-old alleged gang leader on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list was apprehended after nearly three years on the run, according to the FBI Los Angeles.
The agency stated on Friday that Gregory Henderson Jr., an Indiana man wanted on federal drug trafficking, money laundering, and dogfighting offenses, was apprehended earlier this week in Mississippi.
Henderson was charged by federal officials of commanding a violent neighborhood gang in Indianapolis linked with the Gangster Disciples, as well as having extensive drug distribution ties to the Sinaloa Cartel.
Investigators charged Henderson and his associates of distributing cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other substances throughout Indianapolis and the Midwest.
Henderson was also accused of participating in a dogfighting ring, which led in horrific maltreatment and the deaths of several dogs.
On September 17, 2025, Henderson was issued a federal arrest warrant in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana on charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribute controlled substances, conspiracy to launder monetary instruments, and conspiracy to engage in an animal fighting venture.
The FBI offered a reward for information that led to his capture.
Henderson appeared in federal court in Mississippi on Thursday and is still in federal detention pending further procedures. He is expected to be returned to Indiana and prosecuted in the Southern District of Indiana.
