Meigs County Students Paint ODOT Plows

Photos featured on ODOT District 10 Facebook page

MARIETTA, Ohio – Meigs County students have put their artistic touch on Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) snow plows, and now Facebook users have a chance to vote for their favorite.

Students at Bradbury Learning Center, Eastern High School, Meigs Elementary School, Meigs Industries, Meigs Middle School, and Southern High School recently painted the plows.

Photos of the painted plows are on the Ohio Department of Transportation Southeastern Ohio District 10 Facebook page and followers are encouraged to vote for their favorite plow by liking it.

The school with the most votes by Friday, December 20 wins.

The Paint-the-Plow Program is a community outreach program in which students are invited to paint an ODOT snow plow with original artwork to represent their individual school. In addition to being visible when in service during the winter, the plows will be used at events within the school’s community to enhance public awareness, promote safety and foster greater appreciation of both ODOT and the school’s art program.
