A shooting that unfolded early Sunday morning in Garland has left two people dead and another person in the hospital, according to police.
According to the Garland Police Department, the incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. on the 400 block of Bay Shore Drive. Officers claimed they arrived to find three people with gunshot wounds outside a home. While one individual was sent to a hospital in serious condition, the other two were pronounced dead on the scene.
As of publication, Garland Police had not identified the deceased.
The department then discovered that two automobiles had departed the site before police arrived. Officers stated that they soon discovered the vehicles and detained the passengers as part of their investigation.
While detectives investigate what led to the shooting, Garland Police said the event appears to be isolated.
