Fire Alarm Activation Investigated at Courthouse
POMEROY, Ohio – Pomeroy Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Meigs County Courthouse on February 23, 2020.
The call went out for a fire alarm activation at the courthouse, originally for the Auditor’s Office. No smoke was visible.
According to a statement from the Pomeroy Fire Department, Ladder 2 responded and found the third floor elevator lobby detector had activated. Crews investigated, with no issues found. Personnel contacted the key holder and maintenance supervisor, who arrived to contact the alarm company. Crews returned to quarters with no damage or injuries reported.
