Walker police locate missing, endangered 14-year-old girl

A Kent County teenager is safe and will be reunited with her family after being reported missing on Friday evening.

Serenity May, 14, was last seen around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 when she voluntarily left her Walker home on a bicycle, according to a Walker Police Department news release. The residence is located in the 4500 block of Garden Boulevard Northwest.

Officers checked May’s neighborhood and surrounding businesses but were unable to find her.

Jordan Stahr, an off-duty officer with the Walker Department of Public Safety, spotted May while driving in Grand Rapids at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, according to authorities.

Police considered May missing and endangered, noting chilly overnight temperatures, her age, and two missed medicine doses. However, the Walker Police Department stated that it cannot reveal the sort of drug or the disease it is used to treat. Serenity was discovered safe in Grand Rapids.
