BPD announces 86 arrests for crimes including homicide, attempted murder and robbery

The Baltimore Police Department announced a “joint warrant initiative” in which they partnered with other law enforcement agencies to make 86 arrests across the city for crimes ranging from homicide and attempted murder to robbery and traffic offenses.

According to BPD, from September 14 to September 26, the warrant initiative resulted in the arrest of 86 people.

Here’s how the arrests and charges went down:

  • 4 suspects arrested on homicide related warrants
  • 3 suspects arrested for attempted murder charges
  • 8 suspects arrested on robbery charges
  • 40 people arrested on assault charges
  • 2 people arrested on two aggravated assault charges
  • 1 arrested for a sex offense
  • 34 misdemeanor arrests including traffic, theft and other charges

Here are the homicide suspects who were apprehended and the crimes they were associated with:

  • 54-year-old Russell Jackson was arrested September 15, 2026, in connection to the fatal shooting of Kenneth Blake on March 19, 2026, in the 2600 block of Wilkens Avenue.
  • 31-year-old Wayne Burnett was arrested September 16, 2026, in connection to the fatal death of two-year-old Taheem Burnett on November 24, 2024, in the 2800 block of Carver Road.
  • 24-year-old Dionta Hendricks was arrested September 22, 2026, in connection to the fatal crash that resulted in the death Gonzalez Walter on October 10, 2025, in the 100 block of West Patapsco Avenue.
  • 26-year-old Shantoya Century was arrested September 26, 2026, in connection to a hit and run that resulted in the death of Carlos Vicente on December 23, 2025, in the 2400 block of Orleans Street.

Here are the attempted murder suspects who were apprehended and the crimes they were associated with:

  • 34-year-old Adrian McFadden was arrested September 14, 2026, in connection to the non-fatal shooting of 19-yearold male on August 30, 2026, in the 1200 block of East North Avenue.
  • 42-year-old Walter Powell was arrested September 21, 2026, in connection to the non-fatal shooting of 30-year-old male on September 3, 2026, in the 1300 block of Laurens Street.
  • 23-year-old Donavan Brooks was arrested September 14, 2026, in connection to the non-fatal shooting of 19-year-old on August 30, 2026, in the 1200 block of East North Avenue.

These partnerships strengthen our ability to apprehend those responsible for violence, while helping make our communities safer.
