7 Cases Reported as Recovered, 2 New Cases in Meigs
POMEROY, Ohio – The Meigs County Health Department is reporting one additional confirmed case and one probable case of COVID-19 in Meigs County. These cases of COVID-19 bring Meigs County to 34 active cases, and 77 total cases (61 Confirmed, 16 Probable) since April.
Today’s Cases:
- Confirmed case, female in the 60 to 69-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized. This case was previously listed as a probable and has undergone testing to confirm COVID-19.
- Probable case, female in the 90 to 99-year-old age range, who is not hospitalized.
The health department asks residents to refrain from calling the Meigs County Health Department for questions regarding these cases while they complete disease investigations, contact tracing, and notify relevant individuals. The cases and individuals identified as contacts of the case will be advised to self-quarantine in accordance with CDC guidance.
Today the Meigs County Health Department is also reporting seven recovered cases of COVID-19 bringing the total recovered cases to 41. Meigs County remains at an Orange level-2 advisory level on the State of Ohio Public Health Risk Advisory System.
The health department continues to urge residents to continue following federal, state, and local guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
