Meigs County Weekly Construction Update: Week of July 25, 2022
MARIETTA, Ohio – The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Meigs County. All outlined work is weather permitting. Click on each route to see its location at OHGO.com.
SR 681 Culvert Replacement – A culvert replacement project is taking place on SR 681, between SR 7 and Brooks Road (Township Road 312). The road is closed. ODOT’s detour is SR 681 to SR 7 to SR 144 to SR 124 to SR 681. Estimated reopening date: August 1, 2022
SR 681 Resurfacing – A resurfacing project is taking place on SR 681, between the U.S. 33/SR 681 interchange and Mudsock Road (Township Road 304). Traffic is being maintained by flaggers. There will be a period of time during the project that this section will be closed to large trucks. Message boards are in place. ODOT’s detour is SR 681 to U.S. 33 to SR 7 to SR 681 and reverse. Estimated completion: October 1, 2022
SR 681 Landslide Repairs – Landslide repairs are taking place on SR 681, between Vance Road (Township Road 259) and Haning Ridge Road (Township Road 233). One lane is closed. Traffic is being maintained with temporary signals. Estimated completion: October 1, 2022
SR 684 Culvert Replacement – A culvert replacement project is taking place on SR 684 at SR 143. One lane is closed. Traffic is being maintained with temporary signals. Estimated completion: July 31, 2022
SR 143 Landslide Repair – A landslide repair project begins on August 8 on SR 143, between Cotterill Road (County Road 17) and Blackwood Road (Township Road 455). One lane will be closed. Traffic will be maintained with temporary signals. Estimated completion: September 30, 2022
Ravenswood Bridge Deck Repairs – The West Virginia Department of Transportation is performing bridge deck repairs on the Ravenswood Bridge over the Ohio River, between Portland and Jackson County, W.Va. One lane is closed. Estimated completion: July 29, 2022
