Larry Eugene May, 81

Larry Eugene May, 81, of Pomeroy, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 12, 2022, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, OH.

Larry was born May 20, 1941 at Pomeroy, OH to the late Edward Alexander “Tooie” May and Beatrice Orleada Moore May.

He was a former LPN, owner of Larry’s Grocery and Gas at Syracuse, OH and a very avid runner.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis N May whom he married November 27, 1982, a son Charles (Tiffany) Knopp, grandson Jeremiah Knopp, sister Marjorie Cremeans, special brother-in-law Robert (Marilyn) Meier, sister-in-law Carol Podbesek, multiple nieces and nephews and his faithful loving dog Buster.

Besides his parents, he was preceded by granddaughter Chelsie Knopp.

Services are Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at Birchfield Funeral Home, Rutland, OH, with Rev. Steve Cremeans officiating. Burial to follow at Miles Cemetery, Rutland, Oh. Visitation is Wednesday, from 12 p.m. till time of services. Online condolences @birchfieldfuneralhome.com.
