Clevenger returns home
POMEROY, Ohio – A Pomeroy man has returned home following a search involving multiple agencies.
“Jacob Clevenger has returned home safely this morning. Deputies spoke with Jacob and he was not in need of medical attention. He appears to be healthy and happy and we are relieved that he is safe. No other information is being released at this time,” read the statement made on the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page from Sheriff Scott Fitch on March 15.
For days the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, other local police departments, drones, and other resources searched and followed up on leads trying to locate Clevenger.
The search began on March 12 with a statement concerning law enforcement trying to locate Clevenger after he walked away from his home with a .22 caliber rifle and that his intentions were “unknown.”
