Crews Respond to Two Vehicle Crash US 33 and SR 124

A crash happened at the intersection of US 33 and State Route 124 late Wednesday afternoon.

According to first responders, a gray Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling westbound on US 33 and a Chevrolet Aveo was on SR 124. The two vehicles collided. It was unclear exactly how the crash happened, but the Aveo sustained head on damage and was pushed from the roadway.

One person was in each vehicle. The driver of the Tahoe went to the hospital in a private vehicle. The other driver was transported by medical helicopter. The names have not been released. The current conditions have not been released at this time, either.

Traffic was briefly stopped, but is moving as first responders were directing traffic. They were working to clear the scene as of this publishing. Construction has been ongoing on sections of US 33 near the Ravenswood Bridge.

Those responding to the scene included Meigs County EMS, Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, Racine Fire Department, Bashan Fire Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Riverside Auto and Towing, and Ridge Top Auto Repair.
