Bellevue police announced Wednesday that investigators have apprehended a man in connection with a murder earlier this year.

Samuel Hitchcock, 28, was arrested in a residential area in Portland, Oregon.

Bellevue police said investigators collaborated with the Portland Police Bureau and the United States Marshals Service to make the arrest. Hitchcock faces allegations of first-degree murder and robbery.

He was originally identified as a suspect in a homicide that occurred on July 30 at Southeast Eastgate Way and 139th Avenue Southeast. Police said they discovered a 54-year-old male dead near a facility building.

Hitchcock was previously described as being 5’7″ and 125 pounds. Authorities had asked the public not to approach him before his arrest.
