Atlanta police have charged a 20-year-old man in connection with a deadly shooting on Campbellton Road last month.
Reginald Elliot was charged with murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm while committing a felony, and evidence tampering on Thursday, according to authorities. Elliot was already in custody at the Fulton County Jail and will remain there under the new accusations.
The case originates from an incident on August 13 at roughly 11:30 a.m., when officers arrived at 2084 Campbellton Road SW. They discovered an unresponsive adult woman with apparent gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The woman was later identified as Alexis Jane Harlow, and Crime Stoppers requested assistance in tracking down her killer.
Investigators from the Homicide Unit are still working on the case to discover what caused the shooting.
