Two months after a bullet struck a Salem home, investigators reported the arrest of a suspect in the gunfire.
The case goes back to July 13, when Salem police responded to reports of shooting near a home on Park Avenue Northeast.
According to the Salem Police Department, police on the scene discovered a bullet had impacted a home, but no injuries had been recorded.
During the investigation, officials discovered that the home was not the intended target of the gunfire, and after determining probable cause, they apprehended the suspect, 32-year-old Guadalupe Gabino Sanchez of Keizer.
Authorities had secured a warrant to arrest Sanchez, as well as search warrants for his linked properties.
Sanchez was charged with many criminal offenses, according to Salem police.
