2 Women And Man Wounded In Separate Stabbings On Benning Road: DC Police

D.C. police are looking into two separate stabbings on Benning Road on Friday that injured two women and a man.

Officers were dispatched to the initial stabbing in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast, shortly after 5 p.m. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the officers discovered a male with stab wounds.

Responders take the man, who was aware and breathing, to a hospital for treatment. Police were looking for three males who were last seen wearing all-black clothing in connection with the crime.

Just hours later, at around 7:25 p.m., officers responded to another alleged stabbing in the 1900 block of Benning Road and discovered two ladies who had been stabbed, according to police.

Medics transported both women to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

According to a police report acquired by DC News Now, both ladies said investigators they were being assaulted by four other girls before being stabbed. Police grabbed one of the suspects and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon.

Police reported that neither stabbing looked to be related at the time.
