One lucky Texan won the top prize of $1 million using a scratch-off ticket. The Richmond resident struck gold by winning the top prize in the Million Dollar Lottery scratch ticket game.

The Texas Lottery player purchased the $20 ticket at Walmart Supercenter #3827, located at 5660 W. Grand Parkway S. in Richmond. The winner decided to remain anonymous.

This was the second of ten top prizes worth $1 million awarded in this game, with 40 $20,000 prizes, 283 $5,000 prizes, and hundreds of thousands of smaller prizes still available.

The entire prize pool for the Million Dollar Lottery exceeds $363.5 million. According to the Texas Lottery, the total odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.29, which includes break-even awards.
