Clackamas County authorities detained a couple on Tuesday after they were accused of child abuse, according to officials.

Jazmin Linda Flores Gratreak, 22, and Jesus Fernando Ibarra Ibarra, 19, are both charged with first-degree criminal mistreatment and third-degree assault, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives began investigating the case in April 2024, following a referral from the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS).

“The report indicated possible child abuse involving the parents of a seven-week-old boy who had been taken to a local hospital after sustaining serious injuries,” a government spokesperson stated.

The couple is being jailed without bond at the Clackamas County Jail.
