An alleged attempted robbery near Tempe Town Lake late Friday night resulted in three shootings.
Officers were dispatched to Rio Salado Parkway, on the south side of Tempe Town Lake, shortly after 11:40 p.m., in response to a complaint of a shooting.
According to the Tempe Police Department, two people were riding a scooter along the lakefront when a group of people approached them and attempted to rob one of them at gun point.
The victims fired at the suspected robbers, who reportedly returned fire before fleeing the scene.
One victim was discovered shot and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities later apprehended two individuals, who were also hurt.
The names of the suspects have not been revealed.
An investigation is now underway.
