Meigs Forecast Calls for More Rain and Snow through the Week
MEIGS COUNTY – Meigs County has plenty of winter to look forward to in the week ahead.
The National Weather Service (N.W.A.) has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Meigs County which will be in effect until 10 a.m. this morning.
According to the N.W.A., snow is likely to continue before 10 a.m. It will be cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 31 degrees. There will be a North wind blowing of 5 to 9 mph with a 60 percent chance of precipitation. The total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible to add to the already accumulated six inches. Monday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 15 degrees and a light northeast wind.
Tuesday brings a slight chance of rain after 4 p.m. Most of the day will be partly sunny, with a high near 40 degrees and a calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 7 mph in the morning. The chance of precipitation is 20%. Tuesday night rain will be mainly after 9 p.m. with a low around 35 degrees. A North wind will vary from 5 to 14 mph. The chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts are expected to be between three quarters and one inch.
Wednesday brings the chance of rain before 5 p.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 36 degrees and a Northwest wind of 9 to 13 mph. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent and new precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch is possible. Wednesday night looks to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 17 degrees.
