Two Meigs residents indicted by Gallia Grand Jury

GALLIPOLIS, Ohio – Two Meigs County residents have been indicted by the Gallia County Grand Jury.

The indictments have been handed down by the Gallia County Grand Jury. According to Gallia County Prosecuting Attorney Jason D. Holdren announced the indictment list for July. The cases will now move through the Gallia County Court of Common Pleas. Indictments are one step in the process and not a conviction. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

From Meigs County, two individuals were indicted in separate cases. James E. Brace, Jr., 43, of Racine, Ohio, was indicted on one count of Theft, a felony of the fifth degree. Carrie L. Wooten, 28, of Pomeroy, Ohio, was indicted on one count of Identity Fraud, a felony of the fifth degree.

Others were indicted as well by the Gallia County Grand Jury.

Indictments on Drug Related Charges
Anthony-Carlos S. Whigham, 34, of Detroit, Michigan, was indicted on one count of Trafficking in Cocaine, a felony of the first degree, one count of Possession of Cocaine, a felony of the first degree, and one count of Operating a Vehicle with a Hidden Compartment to Transport a Controlled Substance, a felony of the second degree.

Harvey A. Brown, 33, of Bidwell, Ohio, was indicted on one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.

Ashley D. Neville, 28, of Bidwell, Ohio, has been indicted on one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.

Melvin S. Valentine, 41, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was indicted on two counts of Possession of Cocaine, felonies of the fifth degree.

Edna C. Bonecutter, 51, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, was indicted on one count of Possession of Heroin, a felony of the fifth degree.

OVI Related Charges
Tammy Bonecutter, 47, of Gallipolis, Ohio, has been indicted on two counts of Felony OVI, felonies of the third degree.

Derrick J. Ward, 55, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was indicted on two counts of Felony OVI, felonies of the fourth degree.

Miscellaneous Charges
John M. Brewer, 19, of Patriot, Ohio, was indicted on one count of Improper Handling of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree.

James A. Roberts, 31, of Gallipolis, Ohio, has been indicted on one count of Domestic Violence, a felony of the third degree, two counts of Kidnapping, felonies of the first degree, and one count of Disrupting Public Service, a felony of the fourth degree.

Tyler D. Wamsley, 24, of Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, was indicted on one count of Failure to Appear, a felony of the fourth degree.
