Woman reported missing, found needing medical attention

POMEROY, Ohio – A woman reported missing was found in need of medical attention.

According to Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at approximately 1:30 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing female. After a brief investigation, Major Trussell requested an emergency cell phone ping from AT&T Wireless.

Deputies, with assistance from the Middleport Police Department, were ultimately able to use this information to locate the individual on Kingsbury Road at a cemetery, who was then transported to the Holzer Emergency Room for medical attention. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was requested to respond to process the scene. This case remains under investigation. Further information in the case has not been released.
