Katha Smith 65, Wellston, Ohio passed away early Monday morning, January 27, 2014, at Holzer Medical Center, Jackson, Ohio. She was born March 6, 1947, in Pike County, KY., daughter of the late Cyrus and Bertha Gibson Elswick.

Katha was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Smith on March 8, 2010, and surviving are seven children:
Glenn (Lorie) Smith, Eure, NC., Tina (Ed) Abele, Wellston, OH, Trina (Jay) Hunt, Flatwoods, KY., Ted (Lana) Smith, Blythevillle, AK., Charity (Mark) Kinney, Vinton, OH., Amanda (Josh) Markin, Pomeroy, OH., and Brian Smith, Covington, KY.

Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one sister: Barbara Hart, Cincinnati, OH.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, OH. Burial will follow in the Woodruff Cemetery, near vinton.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
