Daniel “Danny” Lee Gillenwater, 40, of Gallipolis lost his fight with brain cancer Monday, February 24, 2014.
He was born September 23, 1973 to the late Carlos “Ray” Gillenwater and Linda Wright. He was proceeded in death by: his father Ray Gillenwater; an infant brother, Carlos Edward Gillenwater: paternal grandparents, Ed & Mammie Gillenwater; maternal grandma, Effie Siders; and step-dad, Jerry Johnson.
He is survived by: his mother and step-dad, Linda and Don Wright; a very special grandpa, Junior Siders; grandparents Donald and Evaline Wright; a special companion and caretaker Elvira Johnson; one daughter, Morgan Gillenwater, three sons, Jacob Gillenwater, Daniel Gillenwater and Dakota Gillenwater; a step-son, Jordan Spires; a step-daughter, Brandy Lambert; five sisters, Brenda Gillenwater, Carla (Aaron) Thacker, Tammy (Steve) Bonecutter, Kim Caldwell and Tessi (Richie) Siders; five brothers, Jerry Johnson, Chris Gillenwater, Charles (Charity) Gillenwater, Curt Gillenwater and Carlos (Kathy) Gillenwater.
Services will be Thursday February 27. Viewing will be at 11:00 a.m. and the funeral at 1:00 p.m. at the Deal Funeral home in Point Pleasant, WV. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery, Gallipolis, Ohio.
