Gayrene “Gay” May, 81

Gayrene “Gay” May, 81, Bidwell, Ohio, passed away, July 20, 2014, at home. She was born March 3, 1933, in Pike Co., Kentucky, daughter of the late Ireland Hunt and Nona Ward Hunt. Gay married Dairl May on June 14, 1950, in Williamson, West Virginia who preceded her in death on September 9, 2012.

Gay is survived by six sons; Lawrence May, Roseville, Ohio, Clearance (Chris) May Bellville, Michigan, Terry (Kelli) May, Bidwell, Ohio, Jerry (Vicki) May, Roseville, Ohio, Dairl May Jr., Vinton County, and Dennis Lee (Cindy) May, Carmel, Indiana; two daughters, Patricia (Jim) Lydic, Zanesville, Ohio and Marie (John) Watson, Bidwell, Ohio; five brothers, Jack (Wenda) Hunt, Vinton, Ohio, Troy Hunt, Kimper, Kentucky, Ireland “Junior” Hunt, Bidwell, John (Brenda) Hunt, Buford, Georgia, and Staril (Alma) Hunt, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Doris (Glenn) Ball, Columbus, Ohio and Brooksie (Bob) Stem, Bidwell, Ohio; 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene Rollins, one sister and one brother.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M Thursday July 24, 2014 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with her brother, Jack Hunt Officiating. Burial will follow in the Hunt Family Cemetery, Bidwell. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday 4:00-8:00 P.M.
