Kathy Jo Ward, 47

Kathy Jo Ward, 47, Vinton, Ohio passed away at Holzer Medical Center, Jackson, Ohio on Saturday, August 9, 2014. She was born May 1, 1967, in Gallipolis, Ohio to Lonnie McCombs, Sr. and the late Brenda Gilbert McCombs. Kathy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and we will remember her loving ways which will be greatly missed.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband Jeffrey Ward whom she married on August 20, 1983, in Gallia County, Ohio, and a son Jeffrey Clinton (Amanda Hoover) Ward II of Vinton, Ohio. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Cheynenne Marie Nicole Ward, Athena Dawn Ward, Akadian Reaford Ward and Adrian Eugene Hoover; three brothers and one sister: Lonnie McCombs, Jr., Robin Slaven, Leslie McCombs and Ronnie Phillips, Jr., and step-father; Ron Phillips, Vinton, Ohio.

In addition to her mother Brenda, she was preceded in death by her daughter Crystal Dawn Ward.

Funeral Services for Kathy Ward will be 3:00 P.M., Friday, August 15, 2014, at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Ohio, with burial to follow in the Ward Family Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Funeral Home on Friday, 1:00 PM until the Funeral Service Hour.
