Obit CandleMarvin F. Krider, 86, of Racine, passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014 in the Holzer Medical Center. Born January 17, 1928 in Racine, Ohio he was the son of the late Raymond and Freda Koeing Krider. He retired from Abbott Labatories in Columbus, Ohio. He attended the Bethany United Methodist Church of Dorcus and was a member of the Racine American Legion Post # 602.

Marvin is survived by his sisters, Alta Dill, of Middleport, Martha Bruch, of Mt. Vernon, Florida, and Minnie (Howard) Bloch, of The Villages, Fl., and numerous nieces and nephews. Step-children, Vernon (Avis) Harrison, Deloris (Elmer) Leihgeber, Nancy Scott, and Carol (Dwayne) Lang, numerous step-grandchildren, and numerous step-great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents Marvin is preceded in death by his wife Clara D. McDaniel Krider, whom he married on March 29, 1950 and passed away on September 21, 2005, brothers, Russell and John Krider.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cremeens Funeral Chapel, Racine. Pastor Arland King will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gavel Hill Cemetery in Cheshire with full military honors conducted by the Racine American Legion Post #602. Friends may call two hours prior to the service time on Friday.
