Bill W. Curry, 83

Bill W. Curry, 83, of Patriot, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on June 1, 1931 in Delbarton, West Virginia, son of the late Frank Harris and June Richmond Curry. Bill was married to Gloria Wallace on June 18, 1963 in Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia and she survives him. He was retired from the State of Ohio and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia and a former Gideon. Bill was also a charter member of New Hope Bible Baptist Church, Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia. He enjoyed gardening and genealogy. Bill’s passions were faith, family, friends and flowers.

Surviving are his wife, Gloria Curry of Patriot; four children, Billy Wayne Curry Jr. of Taos, New Mexico, Dawn Gaye Curry of York, Pennsylvania, Jack Eugene (Lisa) Curry of Nashville, Tennessee, April Curry (Marshall) Maestri of Katy, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Curry Fink of Bedford, Indiana; and a sister-in-law, Joy Curry of Charleston, West Virginia.

In addition to Bill’s parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Penelope Curry Kocoronis and Nick Kocoronis and a brother, Frank H. Curry Jr.

Services will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church, Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia with Pastor Jonathan Pinson officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday at Cunningham Memorial Park , St. Albans, West Virginia. Friends may call at the church on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Zac Dehlbom, Marshall Maestri, Mike Roach, Ed VanMatre, Bruce Pickard and Anthony Lane.
