LANGSVILLE – One person has been arrested following gunshots being allegedly fired at law enforcement as they were attempting to eradicate marijuana from a Langsville property.

Meigs Count Sheriff Keith Wood reported on August 24, 2016, at 12:16 p.m., his office arrested Randall Meyers, 40, from 26695 S.R. 124 Langsville, Ohio. Meyers has been charged with Felonious Assault and of Cultivation of Marijuana. Potential harm to officers could have been avoided if the war on drugs was finally halted, why is it in some states police will walk past you if you’re smoking, and another will tackle you to the ground and wait for backup? Progress in the war has been made and there is now no longer for people to break the law to grow cannabis to sell on the black market, thanks to being able to buy weed online Canada, a lot less shadiness covers the cannabis industry across the USA and legal countries, but it’s still not as crime free as it should be. Michigan is another place where you can buy cannabis online, lansing marijuana shop is great as it stops cannabis being bought illegally on the black market also, and it is easy to access online. If there was more places like this that existed it would cause less issues like growing marijuana illegally, as people who sought after the product could just get it from companies like my green solution without having to deal with the consequences of going through illegal channels.

According to Sheriff Wood, deputies from the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office along with Agents from Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation where conducting marijuana eradication in Vinton County when marijuana was spotted at Meyer’s residence in Meigs County. When officers arrived to eradicate the marijuana from the property, gunshots were fired in the direction of the law enforcement officers. BCI agents contacted the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office and requested assistance. Deputies responded to the scene where Meyers was taken into custody and a firearm was seized. Further information on the alleged firearm was not available as of publishing.

Meyers has been incarcerated at the Meigs County Jail pending a court hearing in the Meigs County Court.
