Bobcats for Life to collect items for “Motherhood Campaign”
POMEROY – Bobcats for Life will be collecting items mothers as part of the “Motherhood Campaign” the group is sponsoring.
The group will be collecting toddler clothing, toys, diapers and other related supplies from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Powell’s Foodfair in Pomeroy on Saturday, September 17, 2016.
The group is “pro-women and pro-life” according to a statement released by the group. Bobcats for Life is an organization of Ohio University students founded by 2015 Southern High School graduate Jacob Hoback. Hoback currently also serves as president of the group.
According to Hoback the group will be donating all of the items to local pregnancy resource centers, Goodwills, and other charitable organizations “so that mothers who are struggling or will struggle to raise a child will be aided.”
He went on to add, “Stopping the killing of 3,000 babies per day is absolutely our number one goal. However, we realize that abortion isn’t just an issue that needs to be fixed in the courts; it’s an issue that needs to be fixed in the hearts. If we can help mothers in raising their children, then the decision to choose life will come much easier.”
