Meet the candidates event set for Sunday

POMEROY – A meet the candidates event will be held Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Kountry Resort Campground (formerly known as Royal Oak) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Candidates will be on hand to talk about the issues facing Meigs County and Ohio. All candidates in the November election are invited to attend. The event is free and sponsored by the Meigs Independent Press.

Political parties will be on hand along with the Meigs County Board of Elections to answer voting questions and registering voters. The Meigs County Health Department will also be on hand to talk about the levy.

“This is an important election year. We hope that people will attend and learn more about each of the candidates and the issues on the November ballot,” Carrie Gloeckner, owner and reporter for the Meigs Independent Press said.

Concessions will also be available for sale.
