Agents charge 45 during Athens parties
Athens, Ohio– Over the weekend agents with the Ohio Investigative Unit worked the annual Milliron Fest and Mill Fest block parties in Athens.
During the two-day enforcement, agents charged 45 individuals. Most of the charges were related to underage alcohol offenses. Other charges included furnishing alcohol to underage, fictitious identifications, drug abuse and felony drug abuse.
On March 18, agents charged Amber Trembley, 22, of Fair Haven, Mich., with sale and/or furnishing intoxicating liquor to a person under 21. Nelsonville Grocery, Inc., also known as Busy Day Market, 30 W. Stimson Ave, in Athens was administratively cited for furnishing intoxicating liquor to a person under 21 and sale of intoxicating liquor to a person under 21.
The administrative case against Nelsonville Grocery Inc., will be presented to the Ohio Liquor Control Commission at a later date. Possible administrative penalties include fines, suspensions, or revocation of the liquor permit.
