Middleport woman indicted with two others for gross abuse of corpse
GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio – A Middleport woman has been indicted along with two others from Gallia County for Gross Abuse of a Corpse and other charges.
Prosecuting Attorney Jason D. Holdren announces that the Gallia County Grand Jury met in March and returned indictments for numerous people including a Meigs County resident.
Lacey Jade Young of Middleport, Ohio, was indicted by the Gallia County Grand Jury on one count of Gross Abuse of a Corpse, a felony of the fifth degree, one count of Tampering with Evidence, a felony of the third degree.
Indicted with Lacey Jade Young were two other individuals, Leeza Bartles of Bidwell, Ohio, and Ralph W. Young Jr., of Bidwell, Ohio.
Bartles was indicted on one count of Gross Abuse of a Corpse, a felony of the fifth degree, one count of Tampering with Evidence, a felony of the third degree.
Ralph W. Young Jr. was indicted on one count of Gross Abuse of a Corpse, a felony of the fifth degree, one count of Tampering of Evidence, a felony of the third degree.
The three were indicted for their alleged involvement with the death of Terry Rothegeb, 55, of Gallipolis. Rothegeb had been reported missing when his body was found in Springfield Township. Rothegeb had been reported missing on Feb. 11, 2017.
