Skatopia’s Martin allegedly involved in assault with a vehicle

POMEROY, Ohio – Brewce Martin, 51, of Rutland, allegedly threatened to run over another man at a local gas station.

According to a report from the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, on May 26, 2017 an alleged assault took place at Taz’s Marathon at Five Points. According to the report, Deputy Jones responded to the scene where the victim, a 40-year old male stated he was walking back to his car when Martin threatened him. Martin allegedly threatened the victim and then attempted to run over the victim with the vehicle Martin was in.

The victim was able to get into his vechicle just before it was struck by Martin’s vehicle according to the report. Martin then fled the scene according to the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim’s car received “significant damage from the incident.”

Charges have been filed in the case. More details were not available as of publication as this is an ongoing investigation.

Martin has been known as a controversial individual as the owner of Skatopia.
