POMEROY, Ohio – Three people have been arrested, one of them following a brief foot pursuit.

According to Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood the arrests happened following events leading to the apprehension of Jason Hysell. Jason Hysell has had outstanding warrants for Failure to Comply with a Police Officer (Fleeing and Eluding) and Aggravated Menacing. In the course of the investigation, deputies determined Jason Hysell was “staying at a residence on Jeffers Road.”

A multi-agency effort from law enforcement worked together to complete a raid early in the morning of June 24, 2017. Participating in the raid were law enforcement officials in addition to the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office were the Meigs County Special Response Team, Gallia-Meigs Major Crimes Task Force, Ohio State Patrol Special Response Team, Adult Parole Authority, as well as the Meigs County Court of Common Pleas.
“When units pulled into the residence Jason fled on foot into the woods. Jason was pursued and taken into custody on the outstanding warrants,” according to a statement from the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition to Jason Hysell, Eric “Nazz” Priddy and Wendy Hysell were taken into custody as well. Priddy was taken into custody on outstanding warrants while Wendy Hysell was arrested for Obstructing Justice.

Law enforcement also allegedly discovered drugs, drug paraphernalia and firearms in course of the investigation.
Sheriff Wood met and conferred with Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney James Stanley. Additional charges may be filed in the matter.

Sheriff Wood expressed his gratitude for all the agencies that worked together to apprehend the individuals arrested.
