Charles “Mike” E. Michael, 83
Charles “Mike” E. Michael, 83, of Racine, passed away at the 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the daughter Becky’s residence in Grove City, Ohio. Born May 3, 1934 in Laurel Cliff to the late Dan and Marie Weaver Michael. He retired from Martin Marietta Materials as a heavy equipment operator, he was also a mechanic.
He is survived by his three daughters, Judy Pickett, of Racine, Christy (Roger) Roush, of Racine, and Becky (Kevin) Teaford, of Grove City, grandchildren, Tracy Pickett, Zachary (Krystal) Pickett, Kimberly (Kevin) Turley, Jenny (Jay) Mershon, Kasey Roush, Stephanie (Brandon) Wicker, Deke Michael, and Kody (Stephanie) Teaford, great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Miyah, Tyler, Khloe, Kinsley, Andrew, Dalton, Madison, Bronson, and Brantley, and two on the way one due in October and the other in November, one great-great granddaughter, on the way due in October. A sister, Linda Micahel, of Charleston, West Virginia, a special friend, Bill Wine, of Racine and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Findley Michael whom he married on March 7, 1954, in Racine and preceded him on May 12, 2004, a son, Chuck Michael, a grandson, Ryan Roger Roush, a great-grandson, Braxton Turley, a great-granddaughter, Hallie Pickett, a son-in-law, Lewis Pickett, three sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine. Rev. James Acree will officiate and interment will follow in the Letart Falls Cemetery.
