Meigs Trade Days set to start May 18-19, 2019
POMEROY, Ohio – Meigs Trade Days are coming as the Meigs County Fair begins something new with a monthly flea market through the summer.
The Meigs County Agricultural Society, which is the volunteer board that oversees the maintenance of the fairgrounds, and is the organization that makes the Meigs County Fair possible each year, is putting on Meigs Trade Days. In a statement released by them, “This is being put on by the Meigs County Fair Board with the profits to go to the general operating fund. The main reason for the flea market is to provide a fun family event for the residents of Meigs County and the surrounding areas. Since Alligator Jack’s closed there isn’t a place in the county for people to come set up and sell their items so we decided that we would have one at the fairgrounds.”
Meigs Trade Days will start off on May 18 and May 19, 2019. Other dates for Meigs Trade Days this year are set for June 22-23, July 20-21, and September 21-22. Hours are Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meigs Trade Days will happen rain or shine.
There will be free parking including handicap parking and free admission. Vendors will be set up inside and outside with vendor space still available. Indoor vendor space rents for $35 while outside space is $25. Concessions will be available and space is available for concessions at $5 per foot. Camping will also be available during Meigs Trade Days at a rate of $50 for the weekend.
